To edit DBD, MFS, and PSB files

To edit a .dbd, .mfs, or .psb file in the basic Visual Studio editor:

  • In the Solution Explorer, right-click a .dbd, .mfs, or .psb file; then select Open from the context menu.

This Visual Studio editor provides a basic level of colorization for items such as reserved words and comments. It does not support background parsing or syntax checking.

In addition to directly editing one of these file types, you can also edit database data for .dbd and .psb files using Micro Focus Classic Data File Tools. For details, see IMS Database Editor .
