To Configure a Region for Debugging

You can configure a region startup definition to enable debugging, and to use the locations that contain the debug-enabled components.

Note:

As an alternative, once a region is running, you can enable the region for dynamic debugging.

If dynamic debugging is not configured and you run a debug session, Visual Studio will offer to set dynamic debugging on your behalf.

  1. In the SEE Administration snap-in, select the region to debug, and edit the region's startup file.
  2. In the Region Startup File Editor's left pane, select Region.
  3. In the right pane under Debug, set Allow Dynamic Debugging to True.

  4. In the left pane, select Locations.
  5. For the Programs items, right-click and select Add > Folder Location.
  6. Add the output folder that contains the Debug Program locations.
  7. Save the startup file, stop, then cold-start the region.
