This configuration variable specifies the mode used by the Btrieve file system to open a file. When this variable is set to TRUE (ON, YES, 1), Btrieve opens files in accelerated mode. In accelerated mode, other applications are allowed to simultaneously open the file. When set to FALSE (OFF, NO, 0), files sent to Btrieve open in exclusive mode. This is equivalent to setting the BTRV_MASS_UPDATE variable to 1. The default is FALSE.
This configuration variable only affects files opened in the Btrieve interface.
