Use the WTest tab to test a file system for the ability to perform atomic file operations, which is a requirement when you set V_LOCK_METHOD 2.
To test a file system in which you plan to access Vision files using the V_LOCK_METHOD 2 variable, specify an existing directory on that file system.
Also, specify a duration (in seconds) for the test to run. If no value or a value less than 30 is specified, the test will run for 30 seconds.
If the test fails, as clearly indicated by the output message, you should no set V_LOCK_METHOD 2 on that file system. If you do so, it will likely cause spurious file errors or file corruption.
