You can connect to the mainframe using the TCP/IP application protocol TN3270. The TN3270 connectivity option supports TCP/IP software that is compliant with the Windows Sockets (WinSock) 1.1 specification, and also supports the complete range of terminal types (3278/3279 models 2 through 5 with EABs) on single or multiple hosts and file transfer.
