Use the Recent Typing page to set the number of fields to have remembered. This setting is for the current session only. Available in 3270 and 5250 sessions only.
With the Recent Typing feature, you can quickly view, select, and automatically populate fields with repeat words and commands, eliminating the need to re-enter information manually.

To specify Recent Typing settings
From the Edit or Options menu, choose Settings.
From the Categories list, click the Productivity icon to open the Settings - Productivity dialog box.
From the Recent Typing page, under Recent Typing Settings, in the Number of Fields to Remember field, type the number of fields you want to have remembered during the current session.
Click the Apply and OK buttons.
