    Pool Name

The MSS Administrator can set up named address pools which refer to one or more IDs whose group is referenced by a name. Any user at any computer can open as many sessions as desired until all IDs assigned to the pool are in use.

    User Name

The administrator can create pools based on your MSS logon name to ensure that specific users receive specific IDs no matter which computer they use. If ID Management and Centralized Management are used, they must have the same user name.

    Client IP Address

The client’s IP address is sent to MSS to ensure that specific computers receive specific IDs no matter who is using them. This eliminates the need to set up separate accounts for each user.

    Client DNS Name

Domain Name System name maps between host names and IP addresses. Similar to the IP Address method but works well in instances where machines have dynamic IP addresses.

    Session Name

The session name is sent to MSS to ensure that users receive specific IDs.

    Host address

The Host address is sent to MSS to ensure specific connections receive specific IDs.

    Host port

The Host port is sent to MSS to ensure specific connections receive specific IDs.

    Application Name

The Application Name is sent to MSS to ensure specific connections receive specific IDs.

    Session Type

The Session type is sent to MSS to ensure specific connections receive specific IDs.

    ID association

The ID association is a group of defined pools sent to MSS to ensure specific connections receive specific IDs.

  7. In the Named Pool Name text box, type the name of a valid pool. Required if the ID request method is Named Pool.

  8. Click the OK button.
