Copying and Pasting Graphic Images

After you display a drawing or image, you can copy and paste the contents of the text or graphics window to other Windows applications. You can copy all or part of your terminal screen, the text only or the text and graphics together. You need to select the area you want to copy. You can select the area as you would in any Windows application, by clicking where you want to start and dragging across the area.

To copy and paste graphic images

  1. Select the area you want to copy.

  2. From the Edit menu, choose Copy.

The text or graphics are copied to the Clipboard in Windows Metafile Format (WMF) or as a bitmap image.

  3. Open the Windows application you want and paste the contents of the Clipboard into the application.

NOTE:You can paste text into any unprotected text field in your terminal session. However, you cannot paste graphics into any session, including a graphics session.
