You can use the new Installation Customization Tool (ICT) to create transforms and companion MSI files instead of the CIW. The CIW is a specific Extra! tool that is easier to use than the ICT. However, the ICT provides more flexibility and customization options.
For instructions that show how to use the ICT to customize your Extra! Installation, open the tool as follows and then open the Help available on the tool.

If you use the ICT, you’ll need to specify the locations of the customized files you deploy. To find the correct location for the types of files you want to deploy, see Extra! File Types.
