6.5 The File Transfer Progress Dialog Box

The File Transfer dialog box displays the transfer progress for the current transfer. You can stop the transfer of an individual file or the entire batch by choosing either the Abort File or the Abort All button.

Description

Current

Displays the transfer progress (number of bytes sent or received) for the file currently being transferred.

Total

Displays the transfer progress (number of bytes sent or received) for the entire transfer batch.

Errors

Displays the number of transmission errors that have occurred during the transfer session.

Timeouts

Displays the number of timeouts that have occurred during the transfer session.

Transfer Speed

Displays the file transfer progress measured in characters per second.

Est. time left

Displays the estimated time until the transfer is completed.

Files

Displays the number of successfully transferred files out of the total number of files to transfer.

Abort File

Aborts the transfer of the current file. When a transfer fails, this button changes to Close.

Abort All

Aborts the transfer of the entire transfer batch.

Force Timeout

Kermit only. Instructs the receiving Kermit to send a NAK without waiting the regular timeout interval.

Important Message

Reports the current status of the transfer.

Transient Message

Reports additional transfer information.
