The way in which data or text is copied or pasted from a session depends upon the Edit settings. In the Edit Settings dialog box, you can specify options that include:
Copying to protected fields
Copying to unprotected fields
Replacing cut or cleared text with space or NULL characters
Pasting as text rows, with or without word wrap to keep from truncating data
Pasting field by field (or in "blocks"), which can help get an accurate "fit" from the copied space to the pasting space
A character or characters with which to replace tabs when pasting tab-delimited information

Cut and Append |
Removes selected text from a session and appends it to the existing contents of the Clipboard. NOTE:You can only append information to the Clipboard within a single session. You cannot append information from one session and then append additional information from another session to the Clipboard. |
Copy and Append |
Adds the selected text from a session to the existing contents of the Clipboard but leaves the selected text unchanged in the display. NOTE:You can only append information to the Clipboard within a single session. You cannot append information from one session and then append additional information from another session to the Clipboard. |
Paste |
Places the contents of the Clipboard into the display session at the cursor position (or into the selected area), subject to the Edit Settings specifications. |
Paste Continue |
Pastes the remaining portion of the contents of the Clipboard, if a Clipboard item is larger than the destination host screen. |
Clear |
Removes selected text from the session without storing it in the Clipboard. |
Select All |
Selects the entire contents of the current session display, making it available for cutting, copying, or clearing. |
Settings |
Opens the Settings dialog box, with the Edit Settings selected. Use this dialog box to set Copy, Paste, and Cut/Clear options. |
