Copying a function from the default keyboard map

  1. Open a keyboard map.

  2. From the Edit menu, choose Show Defaults.

The default keyboard map is displayed.

  3. Click the key on the default keyboard map whose function you want to copy.

  4. Hold the button until the cursor turns from an arrow to a key with a plus (+) sign.

NOTE:If you are copying a combination keystroke (for example, a keystroke preceded by a SHIFT, ALT, or CTRL), be sure to press the SHIFT, ALT, or CTRL key before clicking the key.

  5. Drag the function to the desired key on the working keyboard map and release the mouse button.

The new function overwrites any function currently assigned to the key.

NOTE:If you are assigning the function to a combination keystroke (for example, a keystroke preceded by a SHIFT, ALT, or CTRL), be sure to press the SHIFT, ALT, or CTRL key before releasing the mouse button.
