Pasting Text

After selecting text with your mouse or keyboard, you can use the Paste command to paste the text inside your session, to another session, or to another Windows application.

Alternatively, you can paste text with the Paste button on the toolbar or by pressing CTRL+V.

Before you can use your keyboard to paste from another application, you must press F1 to put your session into Hold Screen mode. If your session is not in Hold Screen mode, CTRL+V sends an escape sequence to the host. Alternatively, you could map the CTRL+V keys on your keyboard to the Paste command, or use the VT OFFICE (101 KEY).EKM keyboard map.

To paste text into a session window

  1. Position the cursor where you want to insert text.

  2. From the Edit menu, choose Paste.

    Alternatively, you can paste text with the Paste button on the toolbar or by pressing CTRL+V.

    NOTE:Inside your session, you can paste selected text without first copying it to the Clipboard.
