Defining Actions

An action is a set of keystrokes that is sent to the host. You can define actions to be taken from a host screen. Actions are used for the following purposes:

  • To navigate if the next screen is not recognized.

  • To create an alternate path to take you to another screen if you do not want to use one of the recorded paths.

  • To re-display the same screen without setting a path. This is useful if you are scrolling through a multiple-page screen, or are using the same data entry screen repeatedly.
