Enabling Text Assist

From the New Session wizard

  1. Create a new session and select 5250 Display as your session type, then choose the Next button.

  2. In the dialog box that appears, choose the type of connection you want to use, then choose the Next button.

  3. Fill in the appropriate information for the General and Backup Host pages.

  4. Select the Advanced tab.

  5. At the bottom of the dialog box, select the Enable Word Processing (Text Assist) option.

From an existing open session

  1. From the Options menu, choose the Settings command.

  2. In the Settings dialog box, choose the Connection category.

  3. In the Settings - connection_type dialog box, choose the Advanced tab.

  4. At the bottom of the Advanced properties page, select the Enable Word Processing (Text Assist) option.

You must re-connect to the host or restart the session before you can use Text Assist in a display session.
