To record a new Communications trace

  1. From the Tools menu, choose Status to open the Status window.

  2. If the Communications page is not displayed, choose the Communications tab.

  3. Choose the session you want to trace using the Open button (you can also use the Open command from the File menu). The session is added to the Communications trace and the Running icon stops.

  4. Choose the Record button to start the trace.

  5. Choose the Stop button to stop the trace.

  6. Save the trace to a file.
