Open a QuickPad.
From the Layout menu, choose Show Grid.
Displaying the grid will give you a better idea of where the objects will be positioned. The closer the spacing on the grid, the more flexibility you have for placing objects on the grid. The looser the spacing on the grid, the easier it is to align objects because there are fewer grid lines to align to.
(Optional) To change the grid settings, choose Grid Settings from the layout menu, then enter the desired settings.
Select the objects that you want to align. To choose more than one object, hold down the SHIFT key and click the objects.
From the Layout menu, choose Snap to Grid. Drag any objects that you want to reposition.
