3.13.1 Record Host Pages

  1. Starting at your log on screen (recommended), choose the Record Pages command from the Tools menu.

The Record Pages toolbar appears on the session.

  2. Wait until a name appears in the Record Pages window. Until this happens, the program is reading the host screen and recording identifiers.

IMPORTANT:If you don't wait long enough at each screen, you may record partial screens. Also, make sure you do not type any additional keystrokes as they will be associated with the navigation to this screen.

  3. (Optional) In the Page Name box of the Record Pages tool bar, type a name to identify this screen. You can also rename the screen pages later by using the Page Settings dialog box.

  4. Use your usual procedures for navigating through the host application screens, repeating steps 2 and 3 for each host screen page.

  5. When you have navigated through all the host screens that you want to record, choose the Stop button on the Record Pages window to stop recording.

HINT:For best results, return to the screen from which you started before stopping the recording.
