Stopping the Controller

You can stop the Controller immediately using the following procedure. However, Fortify strongly recommends that you first place the Controller in maintenance mode to preserve any scans that are running. (See Placing the ScanCentral SAST Controller in Maintenance Mode.)

1. On the machine where the Controller is installed, navigate to the Tomcat bin directory:

   • On a Windows system: cd <controller_dir>\tomcat\bin

   • On a Linux system: cd <controller_dir>/tomcat/bin

2. Type one of the following commands:

   On a Windows system:

   shutdown.bat

   On a Linux system:

   ./shutdown.sh
