1.1 What’s New

Host Access for the Cloud (formerly Reflection ZFE) supports customer requirements for accessing the host in the new and long term; emphasizing the move to cloud technologies, whether on-prem or off-prem.

All releases are cumulative and this release of Host Access for the Cloud contains everything released in all prior versions of Host Access for the Cloud and Reflection ZFE.

  • Features and fixes include:

    • Users of Host Access for the Cloud, Reflection Desktop, and InfoConnect Desktop can now launch all their sessions from a new consolidated HTML-based portal (No Java required). See MSS Release Notes for more information. (2.5.1)

    • With this release, Host Access for the Cloud now contains updated styling. (2.5)

    • Printing capabilities have been added for both UTS and AS/400 host types. See Printing for information. (2.5)

    • AS/400 file transfer has been added to this release. You can now transfer data between your computer and an iSeries 5250 host. See the Transfer Files documentation. (2.5)

    • The ability to Restore Defaults is now available to administrators and end users. This option makes it easier to return settings and display options to their original state. See Set User Preferences. (2.5)

  • Multiple bug fixes and security updates.

1.2 Changes in Behavior and Usage

These changes may affect your existing installation of Host Access for the Cloud.

  • As of Chrome version 80, accessing HACloud using the JavaScript SDK is now limited to HTTPS. This is due to new security constraints related to third party cookies (Samesite) put in place by the Chrome browser team. Also as a result, using Chrome version 80 or greater no longer works for accessing HACloud using the JavaScript Connector before version 2.4.3 (via HTTPS or HTTP).
