13.5 Exporting and Importing Templates for Localization

The notification template is, by default, created in the user’s default language. However, you can export the localized templates as a zipped file on your local system. After the files are translated you can import the translated files to the application. Use this option, for example, when you have to send the templates to individual localization teams for translation.

The following languages are supported for translation:

  • Danish

  • German

  • English

  • Spanish

  • French

  • Italian

  • Japanese

  • Norwegian

  • Dutch

  • Polish

  • Portuguese

  • Russian

  • Swedish

  • Chinese (China)

  • Chinese (Taiwan)

To export the templates:

  1. Click Catalog > Notification Templates.

  2. Click the template you want to export.

  3. Click Import/Export Localized Templates > Export Templates for Localization.

  4. Select the language or languages you wish to localize.

  5. Click EXPORT.

When the templates are exported, the content from the default template is copied to the exported files. However, if there is a template that is already localized, then the content from the localized template is copied to the exported files.

To import the templates:

  1. Click Catalog > Notification Templates.

  2. Click the template you want to import.

  3. Click Import/Export Localized Templates > Import Localized Templates.

  4. Choose the translated files from your local system then click IMPORT.

You can save the imported files, discard them from your local system, or publish them for future use.

NOTE:Workflow Administration Console displays an error message during import if the file contains invalid data or if you try to upload files which are not part of the localized data.

13.5.1 Deleting Localized Templates

To delete a localization template, select the check box next to the template that you want to delete, then click Delete. You can select multiple templates for bulk deletion.
