By default, OpenText Identity Governance uses the user name and password as the authentication method for both OSP or OpenText Access Manager. You can use any available authentication method provided by OSP, or OpenText Access Manager. You can deploy OpenText Identity Governance in many different configurations and you can use the different authentication methods that work best for your environment.
The following are use cases for some authentication methods that you can use with OpenText Identity Governance. We assume that you have an administrative level of understanding of common authentication methods such as SAML, OAuth2, and so forth. This guide is not a primer for these authentication methods. You must also have administrative level knowledge of the different products that you can integrate with OpenText Identity Governance to provide the different authentication methods.
