9.1 Checklist for Configuring OpenText Identity Governance

After you complete the installation of the required components, the database, OSP or Access Manager, OpenText Identity Governance, Identity Reporting, and Workflow Engine (optional) you must perform some configuration tasks with the bootstrap administrator account before you can use OpenText Identity Governance. Use the following checklist to ensure that you complete all of the required configuration tasks for OpenText Identity Governance to work.

 

Checklist Item

  1. To use third-party client connector software for gathering identity and application data, ensure that you add the appropriate .jar files. For more information, see Section 2.4.1, OpenText Identity Governance Server System Requirements.

  1. Complete the setup for OpenText Identity Governance and its database. For more information, see Section 9.0, Completing the Installation Process.

  1. (Conditional) For OSP authentications to work you must manually extend the schema in the identity service if it is not part of Identity Manager. For more information, see Section 9.2.2, Extending the Schema for OSP in the Identity Service not Part of Identity Manager.

  1. (Optional) Modify the SSL settings for communication with the identity service. For more information, see Section 3.9, Securing Connections with TLS/SSL.

  1. (Optional) Modify the configuration settings for OpenText Identity Governance. For more information, see Section 11.0, Customizing Your Installation.

  1. (Optional) Add users who can log in to OpenText Identity Governance and assign them to authorizations in the application. For more information, see Adding OpenText Identity Governance Users in the OpenText Identity Governance User and Administration Guide.

  1. (Optional) Customize the user interface. For more information, see Section 11.3.1, Customizing the Labels in the OpenText Identity Governance Interface.

  1. (Optional) Customize the templates for email notifications and collectors. For more information, see Customizing Email Notification Templates and Customizing the Collector Templates for Data Sources in the OpenText Identity Governance User and Administration Guide.

  1. (Optional) Create a single sign-on experience for users between OpenText Identity Governance and Identity Manager Home and Provisioning Dashboard. For more information, see Section 10.5.1, Checklist for Integrating OpenText Identity Governance with Identity Manager.
