The LoadBalanceMethod
configuration parameter controls how DAH distributes actions to its children when it is in mirror mode. This parameter is available only when you have set MirrorMode
to True
, and DistributionMethod to use load balancing.
You can define the following options for load balancing:
0 (Random). DAH chooses a random server for each action.
1 (Round Robin). DAH cycles through each server in turn for each action.
2 (Weighted). You assign weights to child servers, and DAH distributes actions in proportion to the weights.
Both the random and round robin choices work well when each of the child servers have similar amounts of computing power available. You can use the weighted option if your child servers are known to have quite different computing power available.
For more information about weights, refer to the DAH Reference.
