The IndexNumbers
parameter specifies whether to index numeric and alphanumeric values.
If you do not want to use numeric or alphanumeric values for querying at all, set IndexNumbers
to 0
.
To index all numeric terms, set IndexNumbers
to 1
. This option might result in a large number of terms if your documents include many numeric terms.
To index alphanumeric terms, but not purely numeric terms, you can set IndexNumbers
to 2
.
You can also restrict the IndexNumbers
setting for individual fields by setting up a field process. For example, if you generally want to index all numbers, but for certain fields you do not want to index any numbers, you can set up a field process to restrict the index numbers for some fields.
For example:
[English] IndexNumbers=1 ... [SetIndexNumbersFields] Property=IndexNumbersFields PropertyFieldCSVs=*/DRECONTENT [IndexNumbersFields] IndexNumberstype=True IndexNumbers=2
In this example, IDOL Server generally indexes all numbers in index fields, but in the DRECONTENT
field, it indexes only numbers that occur as part of a word.
