You can back up your complete IDOL installation by copying all the data files in the IDOL installation directory (including subfolders). Before you copy files, you must ensure that indexing is paused (for example, by using the DREFLUSHANDPAUSE index action), and that no schedules will run during the backup time.
You can restore the files to the same machine by copying the files back.
If you want to restore the files to a different machine, you must remove the license and uid folders from each subdirectory, to relicense the component.
Data files are platform and endian dependent, so you can restore only to a similarly configured machine.
