Index Maintenance

This section describes some of the IDOL Server maintenance tasks that you can perform, using index actions.

• Back Up and Restore the Data Index. You can back up your index, and restore IDOL Server from a backup.

• Compact the Index. Compact the index to clear deleted documents and free space.

• Deduplicate Indexed Content. Remove duplicate documents in the index.

• Regenerate Data Indexes. Regenerate the field indexes of different types.
