View Identifiers and Metadata Schema

Some NiFi Ingest Connectors provide a graphical interface so that you can browse the repository. Some also allow you to view detailed information about document identifiers, and a document metadata schema. If the connector supports inserting items into the repository, you might be able to view information about the metadata that you could insert.

To view identifiers and metadata schema

1. Right-click a connector and click Advanced.

2. Click the Browse tab.

   The contents of the repository are displayed.

3. Hover the mouse pointer over an item name. The following example is from a File System Connector.

   

4. To view information about the document identifier for an item in the repository, click View Identifier. To view the document metadata schema, click Document Metadata Schema. To view information that would be useful when inserting a similar item or child items into the repository, click Insert Options.

   

   The metadata shown in the Insert Options dialog might be a subset of the full document metadata schema, because the repository might not support setting all of the metadata.
