Install NiFi Ingest

To install NiFi Ingest, follow these steps.

To install NiFi Ingest

1. Download and install Apache NiFi (https://nifi.apache.org/). For information about installing and configuring NiFi, refer to the Apache NiFi documentation. When you have installed NiFi and can access the user interface successfully, stop NiFi and continue with the remaining steps in this procedure.
2. Download the NiFi Ingest zip package for your chosen platform.

3. Extract the idol-nifi-*.nar files and move them to InstallDir/extensions/, where InstallDir represents your Apache NiFi installation directory.

   The following files are available:

   • idol-nifi-framework-api-nar - Required to use NiFi Ingest.
   • idol-nifi-services-nar - Required to use NiFi Ingest. Contains shared services such as the IDOL License Service.
   • idol-nifi-core-nar - Common processors and utilities.
   • idol-nifi-keyview-nar - KeyView processors, services, and resources.
   • idol-nifi-eduction-nar - The Eduction processor and standard grammars.
   • idol-nifi-indexing-nar - Indexing processors, for example to index documents into your Content component.
   • idol-nifi-scripting-nar - Lua and Python scripting support.
   • idol-nifi-viewer-nar - Provides support for viewing IDOL document flowfiles, for example when you view a queue in the NiFi interface.
   • idol-nifi-aci-nar - Provides processors and a controller service that you can use to build dataflows that handle ACI requests.

4. Install any optional components that you want to use into the same directory, for example Connectors and the Rich Media components.

5. Start Apache NiFi.
