11.3.2 Options Dialog Box (Print Screen and Capture)

The options available in this dialog box depend on whether you have configured printer of file output in the Printer Settings Dialog Box (Print Screen and Capture).

Document name

In printed output, this name replaces the &Fvariable.

Header

For printed output, enter the information that you want to appear in the header of the printed document (up to 80 characters).

This header appears one line above the top margin. If you do not want to use a header, simply delete the default values. You can also use these variables (they are not case-sensitive):

Page number

&F

The value specified for Document name.

&D

Date

&T

Time

&C

The name of the Windows computer that issued the print command.

Footer

For printed output, enter the information that you want to appear in the footer of the printed document (up to 80 characters).

This footer appears one line below the bottom margin. If you do not want to use a footer, simply delete the default values. You can also use these variables (they are not case-sensitive):

You can also use the following variables: &P, &F, &D, and &T.

File settings

Specify how file output is handled if you selected Print To File or Capture To File in the Printer Settings Dialog Box (Print Screen and Capture).

 

Auto name the file

Sends captured data to a file in your InfoConnect user data folder This folder location is configurable using the Data Location tab during installation. The default is C:\Users\username\Documents\Micro Focus\InfoConnect. . This file name appears automatically in the File Name text box.

The file name is the first five letters of the session name, followed by a letter for the month (January is A, February is B, and so forth), and the day of the month. The file extension is .TXT. For example, if the session name is TCPA_1 and the file is created on April 15, the file name is TCPA_D15.TXT.

 

Append file

Add new content to the end of an existing file.

 

File name

Specify an alternate name and/or location. for the output file Available when Auto name the file is not selected.

Capture Mode

Normal

Capture processed data as it appears on the screen (this preserves the format of data that appears in forms)

Raw

Capture all data as it is received from the host (this includes control and escape code sequences and can be useful for debugging the data stream)
