4.5.1 Add a Mouse Action

Using the Mouse Mapper, you can assign an action to a mouse click, a wheel up/down, or to a mouse click and keystroke combination. Each time you perform that mouse action in InfoConnect, the specified action occurs.

To add a mouse action

  1. Open a session in InfoConnect.

  2. Under Map Mouse Click, place your pointer over the image, and then do either of the following:

    • Click a mouse button or wheel up/down.

      -or-

    • Click a mouse button while pressing a modifier key (for example, CTRL).

  3. Assign an action by doing one of the following:

    • From the Select Action menu, choose a task (for example, Launch Application).

      -or-

    • Click the Select Actionbutton, and from the Select Action dialog box, specify an action or action sequence.

  4. Enter parameters for the action, if required, and then click OK.

  5. The new mouse action appears in the Mouse Action table.

  6. Click OK.

When you click OK in the Mouse Mapper dialog box, your changes are saved to the currently selected mouse map file.

NOTE:If the currently selected map file is one of the built-in map files, InfoConnect automatically creates an editable copy of the map file, saves your changes to this file, and saves it to the Mouse Maps folder in your InfoConnect user data folder This folder location is configurable using the Data Location tab during installation. The default is C:\Users\username\Documents\Micro Focus\InfoConnect. .
