6.4 CASL Macros

InfoConnect Desktop continues to support CASL macros that you created with earlier versions of InfoConnect. You can run and edit CASL macros from any ALC, UTS, or T27 terminal session. No migration or special installation steps are required.

To run a CASL Macro

  1. Confirm that the macro is in a trusted location. (To view or modify the trusted locations, go to InfoConnect Workspace Settings and click Specify Trusted Locations.)

  2. Start an ALC, UTS, or T27 session.

  3. Use the Run CASL Macro command:

    The steps depend on your user interface mode.

    InfoConnect Ribbon

    On the Toolsribbon, from the CASLgroup, clickRun CASL Macro.

    InfoConnect Browser

    On the InfoConnect menu, choose Tools > CASL Macro> Run CASL Macro.

    TouchUX

    Tap the Wrench icon and then under Macro, select Run CASL Macro.

    Classic MDI

    From the Tools menu, select Run CASL Macro.

  4. Browse to locate the CASL Macro file you want to run.

To edit a CASL Macro

  1. Start an ALC, UTS, or T27 session.

  2. Use the Edit CASL Macro command:

    The steps depend on your user interface mode.

    InfoConnect Ribbon

    On the Toolsribbon, from the CASLgroup, clickEdit CASL Macro.

    InfoConnect Browser

    On the InfoConnect menu, choose Tools > CASL Macro> Edit CASL Macro.

    Classic MDI

    From the Tools menu, select Edit CASL Macro.

  3. Browse to locate the CASL Macro source file you want to edit.

Recording macros

The Learn Casl Macro menu option is no longer available. To create new recorded macros, see Record a Macro.
