Add/Modify Path Templates Dialog Box

Template ID

(required) The Template ID is a unique identifier for this template.

Description

(optional) The Description is visible in the InfoConnect Manager Select Path Type dialog box and in the Database Editor under the Connection type selection.

Application Type

(optional) Specify a default application type for paths using this template.

Library StacK

Opens the Path Template Configuration dialog box, which you can use to modify the list of libraries associated with this template.

Channel

(INT1 only) Specify a default channel for paths using this template.

Path Options

You can enable tracing for sessions that use paths by selecting Traced in either the Modify Path or Modify Path Template dialog box. When you select Traced in the template, all paths using this template will be traced.

Hidden - Paths marked as hidden are not include in the list of paths visible to users creating new sessions in the Workspace.

System - System templates reference a library rather than an accessory. These are used for low-level paths that are used as transport layer for higher-level paths. System paths should also be marked as hidden.

The Hidden and System template attributes determine which templates are visible in the Database Editor Connection type list for non-administrative users.

You must be logged in as an administrator to view System templates.
