Global IP-Concentrator Options Dialog Box

How do I get to this dialog box?

From InfoConnect Manager

  1. Select Paths in the left pane, then click Add.

  2. Select ATSTCP, then click OK.

  3. Click Configure.

  4. From the GTID Options dialog box, click the Global Config button.

From the Database Editor

  1. Under Connection type, select ATSTCP.

  2. Select an existing path (or, click + to add a new record).

  3. Click Configure Path.

  4. From the GTID Options dialog box, click the Global Config button.

Use this dialog box to specify the configuration settings for the ATS IP-Concentrator.

First Config Server

Name Type the name of the configuration server. This should be defined locally or on your Domain Name Server (DNS).
If both Name and IP Address are provided, the query uses the IP Address first. If neither are provided, the query uses the values provided for the second configuration server.
IP Address Type the IP address of the configuration server that is queried first when you click Config Refresh.

Second Config Server

Name Specify the name of the configuration server. This should be defined locally or on your Domain Name Server (DNS).
IP Address Type the IP address of the configuration server that is queried after the first configuration server when you click Config Refresh.

Dormant Timeout Values (sec)

Use this area to determine how long each terminal type ( Terminal, Printer, and Application ) waits before closing the connection if the client detects no activity on the TCP/IP connection. If you type a 0 (zero), the terminal type will always remain open. These values are updated when you click Config Refresh.

Note

If you open more than one terminal type in your application, the dormant timer will use the highest timeout value. For example, if you open a Terminal type using a 60-second timeout and a Printer terminal type using a 90-second timeout, the application will time out at 90 seconds. In addition, all terminal types seamlessly close the host connection since the terminal types are multiplexed through one TCP/IP connection.

IPC List Click IPC Address List dialog box to specify the IP addresses of the IP-Concentrators that are available to you. To update these values, click Config Refresh.
