4.3.6 Configuring the ALC Host Filter

If you selecKt the PTRALC32.HFF host filter file in the Route Configuration dialog box and click the host filter Configure button, the ALC Host Filter Configuration dialog box appears.

Using this dialog box, you can customize the ALC host filter to your environment.

Retry Timeout: Type the number, in milliseconds, to determine how long the host filter waits before checking that the printer can receive a buffer.

Type: Use this drop-down list box to specify the protocol used for your printer type. The values in this list box change, depending on the value you choose in the Printer Type drop-down list box in the Route Configuration dialog box.

Tabs: The tabs stops used between facilities may differ. Select the Tabs type appropriate for you facility: Agency or Airline.

End of Line: Select one, a combination, or none of these characters to determine how the host filter interprets end of line sequences sent from the host. The host filter replaces each end of line sequence with the characters you select.

End of Doc: Select one, a combination, or none of these characters to determine how the host filter interprets an end of document sequence sent from the host. The host filter replaces the end of document sequence with the characters you select.

Shared Queue: Select to allow other applications to share the print port with PTR32. When cleared, the print port is dedicated to PTR 32.
