Configuring the Global IP-Concentrator Options

Using this dialog box, you can specify the configuration settings for the ATS IP-Concentrator.

  • First Config Server:These options define the Configuration Server that is queried first when you click Config Refresh. Complete one or both of the following fields:

  • Name: Type the name of the Configuration Server. This should be defined locally or on your Domain Name Server (DNS).

  • IP Address: Type the IP address of the Configuration Server.

NOTE:When you click Config Refresh, the query uses the IP Address first. If it is not found, then the query uses the Name. If the Name is not found, then the query moves to the second configuration server.

  • Second Config Server: These options define the Configuration Server queried if the Configuration Server specified in the First Config Server options is not available when you click Config Refresh. Complete one or both of the following fields:

  • Name: Type the name of the Configuration Server. This should be defined locally or on your Domain Name Server (DNS).

  • IP Address: Type the IP address of the Configuration Server.

  • Dormant Timeout Values (sec): The Dormant Timeout Values area enables you to determine how long each terminal type (Terminal, Printer, and Application) waits before closing the connection if the client detects no activity on the TCP/IP connection. If you type a 0 (zero), the terminal type will always remain open.

These values are updated when you click Config Refresh.

  • IPC Address List button: Clicking this button displays the IPC Address List dialog box.
