HLCNTS Path Property

Terminal Name

Type the unique name that the host will use to identify the terminal emulation session.

If you are using this path for printing, be sure to use a unique printer name for each printer.

The host might be configured to accept only certain terminal names. In this case, you can use only the terminal names that have been assigned to you. Contact your host administrator if you do not know what terminal name to use.

Default Window

Type the name of the initial host window to display once host login is complete.

The default value is MARC. For printing, the Default Window should be PRINTING.

Channel

Click the name of the HLCNTS library channel to use with this path. The library channel specifies the name of the host and advanced NetBIOS settings.

You must create a library channel before you can create an HLCNTS path. Click the Channel tab, click Add Record from the Record menu, and complete the bottom portion of the application window. Then click the Paths tab and create a path.

Traced

Select this option to enable the creation of a log file containing diagnostic information about the data flow in the session that uses this path. (Selecting this option does not create the log file. To do that, you must initiate the trace using the InfoConnect Manager. Selecting this option simply lets you control which paths are traced and which are not.)

If you clear this option, diagnostic information about this path will not be gathered.

Hidden

Select this option to mark the path as hidden (it does not appear in the Select InfoConnect Path dialog box or the InfoConnect Manager's application window unless you are logged in as an administrator).

If you clear this option, this path will appear in the Select InfoConnect Path dialog box and the InfoConnect Manager's application window.

System

Select this option to mark the path for internal use by other transports (it does not appear in the Select InfoConnect Path dialog box or the InfoConnect Manager's application window unless you are logged in as an administrator).

If you clear this option, this path can be used by accessories and will appear in the Select InfoConnect Path dialog box and the InfoConnect Manager's application window.
