Open a mainframe session and log on to your PS/CICS system.
From the PS/CICS main menu, choose option 4, Create a Document.
From the Create a Document menu, choose option 3, Import a Document from the Workstation.
In the next screen, you can provide information that PS/CICS will use to identify the imported file.
In the first field, type the path and filename of the PC file you want to send to the mainframe.
Press the Tab key to move to the next field, Document Name. Enter the name you want the file to have on the mainframe.
Press the Tab key to move to the other fields and enter information as appropriate. When finished, press ENTER to start the transfer operation.
Return to your PC session. The transfer begins when you are in your PC session and continues only while you remain in the PC session. The File Transfer Progress dialog box displays the status of the transfer.
When the transfer is completed, your CICS session displays the message shown below.
