Enabling Command Validation

GraphX provides a feature for validating graphics commands as they are received. Temporarily enabling this option can help troubleshoot a picture that is not displaying as expected, particularly when receiving graphics commands via the ICS communications path, or when loading an ASCII file from disk.

This option causes the graphics engine to validate each command it receives to make sure that it is supported. If an unsupported command is sent to GraphX while this option is enabled, a message box identifies and displays the unsupported command.

To enable command validation

  1. Click Preferences> System.

  2. Select Enable Command Validation.
