9.1.16 Enabling Command Validation

GraphX provides a feature for validating graphics commands as they are received. This option causes the graphics engine to validate each command it receives to make sure that it is supported. If an unsupported command is sent to GraphX while this option is enabled, a message box identifies and displays the unsupported command.

To enable command validation

  1. Select the Preferences menu and choose System.

  2. Select the Enable Command Validation option.

When enabled, a check mark appears next to the menu item. Normally, this option should not be enabled, but can be enabled temporarily to help troubleshoot a picture that is not displaying as expected.

This command is effective when receiving graphics commands via the ICS communications path, as well as when loading an ASCII file from disk.
