INT1 and Host Connections

The following table shows how configuration parameters and other circumstances determine which host application you access using INT1.

If you selected Auto-Connect in the path configuration, the specified host application opens automatically when a terminal emulation or file transfer session that uses that path is opened.

If you cleared Auto-Connect, the host application opens when you press the transmit key or issue a $$OPEN command.

Command Issued from Terminal Emulation

Environment for the Path

A $$OPEN command that matches an environment name

A $$OPEN command that does not match an environment

Does not apply

If no DEFAULT environment exists, you receive a message indicating that terminal access is restricted. To avoid this message, create an environment named DEFAULT.
