Settings - 3270 Printer Margins Page

Use the 3270 Printer Margins page to configure the printable area of the page. The Margins page provides a Margin Preview, which displays the general page layout, margin size selections, and page orientation choices (standard, host defined, COR, or compressed).

Description

Margin Preview

Displays image of sample page with the defined orientation, margins, and line spacing.

Margins (inches) or (cm)

Displays margin selections.

Top

Defines the size of the non-printing area at the top of the page.

Bottom

Defines the size of the non-printing area at the bottom of the page.

Set Bottom = Top

Sets the bottom margin size equal to the top margin size.

Left

Defines the size of the non-printing area on the left side of the page.

Right

Defines the size of the non-printing area on the right side of the page.

Set Right = Left

Sets the right margin size equal to the left margin size.

Type

Lists the possible sources of page definitions (Standard, COR Reduction, Compressed, Host Defined) for the print job. (IBM 3812 printer switch = c01.)

Portrait

Specifies how the document is positioned on the page. Portrait orients the paper vertically .

Landscape

Specifies how the document is positioned on the page. Landscape rotates the paper 90 degrees clockwise.
