6.6.3 Configuring the PTR Print Spooler Options

When you select PTRSpooler in the Path Template drop-down list box and click Configure, the PTR Print Spooler dialog box appears.

Complete this dialog box to configure your PTR setup with the Windows Print Spooler.

Dialog Box Options

Description

Document Name

Type the document name that you want to print.

Operation

Select from the following to determine how the PTRSpooler EIL formats printer output.

Passthru Printing

No formatting. Use this if this host data is preformatted for your printer, such as postscript data for a laser printer.

CR Advances Paper

A carriage return advances the paper in addition to moving the print head to the left margin setting.

LF Returns Carriage

A line feed moves the print head to the left margin setting in addition to advancing the paper.

Independent CR and LF

A carriage return moves the print head to the beginning of the line, but the paper is not advanced. A line feed advances the paper, but the print head remains in its current column position.

Redirect Output to File

Select this item to send the data to a file.

Append to File

Selecting this check box adds the data to the end of any existing data in the file. If you clear this check box, any existing data in the file is overwritten.

Print File

Click to view the Print File dialog box.

Font

Click this button to view the Font dialog box from which you can specify the font, and change its formatting characteristics (such as the style and size).

Page Setup

Click this button to view the Page Setup dialog box.

To configure the font setup

  1. From the PTR Print Spooler dialog box, click Font.

    The Font dialog box appears.

  2. From the Font dialog box, select the desired font, font style, and font size.

  3. Click OK.

To configure the print setup

  1. Click Print Setup from the PTR Print Spooler dialog box.

    The Print Setup dialog box appears.

  2. From the Print Setup dialog box, select the printer, print orientation, and paper size for your print job.

  3. Click Options to specify additional printing options. (For more information regarding these printing options, refer to your Windows documentation.)

  4. Click OK.
