Description

Create a New Host Channel

Select to create a new SABRE host channel.

Use an Existing Host Channel

Select the SABRE host channel from the list of available host channels to use with this SABRE host path.

Host Channel List

A list of existing SABRE host channels.

Primary Host IP Address or DNS Name

Type the IP address or the DNS name of the SABRE host.

Secondary Host IP Address or DNS Name

Type the IP address or the DNS name of the SABRE host to use if the primary host is not available.

Specify a Custom ALC Configuration File

Type the complete path to the configuration file (.CNF) containing ALC terminal tool or host filter settings, if one is needed by your host, or use the Browse button to select the .CNF file.

Browse

Click this button to display the Select Config File dialog box.

Using this dialog box, you can select a .CNF file if one is needed by your host.

Name of New Host Channel

Type a unique name for this host channel.

Use a Pooled Terminal Address

Select this to use a terminal address from an address pool.

Use the Following Terminal Address

Select this to use specify the terminal address to use for this host channel.

LN

Type the line number (LN) assigned to you by your system administrator. This option is available only when you are using EDS SHARES as your network.

IA

Type the interchange address (IA) assigned to you by your system administrator. This option is available only when you are using EDS SHARES as your network.

TA

Enter the terminal address (TA) assigned to you by your system administrator.

This is the terminal identifier in P1024B protocol. It must be a hexadecimal value in the range 00   2B or 2D   3F, inclusive.

Create a New Terminal Address Pool

Select to create a new terminal address pool.

Select an Existing Address Pool

Select to use an address pool from the list of available address pools.

Address Pool List

A list of existing address pools.

Enter a Name for the Terminal Address Pool

Type a name for the pool you are creating.

Multiplier

For values that must be unique to each host connection, such as the terminal address (TA), the number specified in the Multiplier text box creates the specified number of automatically incremented values. For example, to create a pooled connection path with ten TAs, you would specify the beginning TA and then type 10 in the Multiplier text box.

Add

Choose to add one or more terminal addresses using the address parameters specified on this page.

Delete

Choose to delete the selected terminal address from the pool.

Pool List

A list of terminal addresses included in the specified pool.
