3.14 Local and Remote Folders

The lists of toolbars, keyboard maps, QuickPads, and schemes on the Settings dialog box reflect the contents of two separate folders: a local folder and a remote folder. The default locations for these folders is within the ACCMGR32 folder.You cannot modify the location of the local folder. However, you can modify the location of the remote folder. For example, in a standalone installation, you might want to specify a different remote folder if you want to keep the files that you create separate from the ones that come with your InfoConnect products. Or you might want the remote folder to be a folder on a file server, where an administrator can place files for multiple users to share.You can check the locations of the local and remote folders by clicking Global Preferences from the Options menu and clicking the Files/Directories tab.

To specify the remote folder for settings

  1. From the Options menu, click Global Preferences.

  2. Click the Files/Directories tab.

  3. Click the Browse button in the Settings Information group box and click the desired folder in the Browse for Folder dialog box.

    When you click OK on the Browse for Folder dialog box, the selected folder name appears on the Global Preferences dialog box.
