Each T27 print environment represents one host connection and specifies how printing from that host is handled. Print environments are saved to a configuration file. Each configuration file can contain up to eight environments.
The configuration settings for each print environment can be modified using either T27 Print Services or the T27 Print Services Configuration utility. Note the following differences:
With T27 Print Services, you can modify only the configuration file that loads automatically. With the T27 Print Services Configuration utility, you can modify any configuration file, as well create and delete configuration files.
With T27 Print Services, you can modify only the listed print environments. With the T27 Print Services Configuration utility, you can create, copy, modify, and delete print environments.
To create a new T27 Print Services environment
Open the T27 Print Services Configuration Utility T27 Print Services Configuration Utility.
If the configuration file that you want to use is not already open, open the desired file (File > Open).
From the Environment menu, select New Environment.
Complete the Path ID dialog box.
Click OK. This adds a new column of buttons that you can use to configure this environment.
Save the configuration file (File > Save).
To edit an existing T27 Print Services environment
Use either of the following methods to edit an existing environment:
Open the T27 Print Services Configuration Utility and click the Path ID, Connection, and Miscellaneous buttons under the environment you want to edit to open the configuration dialog boxes.
Open T27 Print Services and select the environment you want to edit. From the Configuration menu, select Path ID, Connections, and Miscellaneous to open the configuration dialog boxes.
