Translate Tab

Using this tab, you can specify the translation table to use for converting data sent from the host to the PC, and for converting data sent from the PC to the host.

NOTE:If you use the European translation tables supplied with Accessory Manager, be sure to add an INVERT statement to the table used for Host To Screen. These translation tables are designed for use with Screen To Host rather than Host To Screen.

Description

File Name

Type the name of the translation table (.TBL file) to use to convert characters received from the host before they are displayed on the PC.To select the table from a list of available translation tables, click Browse.

Click this button to select the desired file from a list of available files.

To select a translation table

  1. If a UTS session is not already open, open one.

  2. From the Options menu, click Settings.

  3. From the Categories list box, click Display.

  4. Click the Translate tab.

  5. In the Host To Screen text box, type the name of the translation table to use to convert characters received from the host before they are displayed on the PC.

    To select the table from a list of available translation tables, click Browse.

  6. In the Screen To Host text box, type the name of the translation table that you want to use to convert displayed characters before they are sent to the host.

    To select the table from a list of available translation tables, click Browse.

    The selected translation tables will be applied the next time you open this session.
