PARAM Area on the Control Page

Using the PARAM area on the Control Page or Extended Control Page, you can change various aspects of the session configuration.

Changing the PARAM involves typing an entry to the left of the slash and to the right of the slash. Your entry on the left side of the slash indicates which option you want to modify. Your entry on the right side of the slash indicates the setting for that option.

For example, to display a space whenever you press the space bar, you would type the following for PARAM:

PARAM(SP/DS)

where SP indicates the space bar option and DS turns the destructive space on.

The following table lists the configurations options you can specify and the entries to type to set them. Data that you type to the left of the slash mark appear in the Left column; data you type to the right of the slash mark appear in the Right column. This table also indicates which terminal types support each option.
