CCI is the acronym for Common Communications Interface. CCI is the technology used by Micro Focus products such as Mainframe Access, Fileshare and CICS, to enable communications applications. CCI allows a common approach to configuration and diagnosis of errors for users of Micro Focus distributed applications.
The chapters that follow attempt to provide a wide range of examples for configuring the various Micro Focus products that use CCI. All of this information is applicable to all products that make use of CCI technology. The information is provided here is divided into several categories, starting with specific information regarding each communications protocol supported, followed by application configuration information. This is followed by a section on tracing and CCI.INI file entry specifics used to customize your communications application. Finally, there is a section on error messages and their possible resolution.
