Notice that words can be colored. Here, COBOL verbs have been colored white-on-blue so that they stand out well from other text.


Finish typing a word and it is instantly colored, giving you a great way of avoiding typing errors.

For example, if you type perform correctly, it becomes white-on-blue. If you type perfform, however, it is not colored correctly since NetExpress doesn't recognize it as a COBOL verb.

You can configure all these colors, and fonts too, from the Customize option on the Options menu.
